I’d like to add one more thing to my Things Missing in Forza Motorsport 3 list: Yas Marina Circuit. DLC? I’m sure Turn 10 will have lots of fun modelling that hotel.

Sky on Xbox Live →
Either BSkyB has crap servers, or the horde of UK Xbox Live users have crashed their signup site. Gripe: like Last.fm, the Sky Player app is hidden under a Marketplace tab, which — like the rest of this fall’s Dashboard update — makes no sense categorisation–wise. Put it under My Xbox > Videos! Update: And the party’s temporarily suspended. I guess Sky really wasn’t...

Headteacher 'slapped' smoking pupil →
There’s this bit at the end of the article: The Forest Education Centre teaches children aged between 11 and 16 who have been referred because of behavioural difficulties or because they have been permanently excluded from school. But I don’t think that changes anything, and I’ll still say, “Good on you, miss headteacher.”

Anybody know the piece of dramatic music the BBC used for their wrap–up montage — not the one showing all British champions to date — at the end of the Formula One coverage today? Crowdsourcing from Twitter isn’t working this time.

Watching F1: 2009 Brazilian GP
Trying to get a smooth stream from the BBC is not easy. Stupid Virgin Media. If Button does win the championship today, he’ll win it in much more style than Hamilton did last year. Nakajima taken out by a rookie. Not a good day for Williams, what with Rosberg out as well. Yesterday was quite good for them though. I feel so sorry for Barrichello. On the one hand Button did fight his way...

So I didn’t charge my iPhone two nights ago. Obviously it had died by the morning, but I didn’t plug it in until I went to bed last night though. Yes, I went a whole day without an iPhone. Maybe it’s because the battery was flat for so long — about 24 hours — and it’s messed with the reading or something, but the battery meter has been red since this morning, i.e....

The stool may look like a hoover, but it also looks like a boot. More specifically, the boot that WALL–E uses to keep his plant in. One WALL–E reference coming right up (on Thursday)!

Just need to finish the orthographic drawings, make some graphics to slap on the stool, print out all the research materials and get the presentation boards done. Very nearly there.

The 18:00 East Midlands service to Nottingham is not an ancient ex–InterCity train. Good. Too bad my seat’s facing the wrong direction.

Toy Story 3 Trailer The first bit of the trailer made me go “Aww…”, but after that it was “Sweetness!” On a separate note: I wish they would do the Toy Story 3D double feature in England.

It seems that I have forgotten to pack my laptop’s charger. I don’t have a USB power adaptor for my iPhone nearby either, which is a first. Crap.

On my way to London. Train’s shit. It’s one of those ex–InterCity ones. I wish it was one of those pendolino trains.

Its side profile looks like a hoover, but the dimensions are done, so the shape of the stool is basically set. Just need to figure out how to adapt it for manufacturing and what changes — if any — need to be made. Whether it’ll actually work in the real world I don’t know, but I think the idea is theoretically viable, and thankfully that’s as viable as it needs to be for this...

Boy spotted dying lights of climber on Mull with a... →
Times Online: He initially dismissed it as an Ordnance Survey marking light, but felt something was wrong and persuaded the driver, Tommy Paterson, to turn back. They returned to where he had seen it, between Gribun and Kilfinchen, and when Mr Paterson flashed his headlights the light flashed and they heard distant cries for help. They ran to a nearby farm, where they contacted emergency...

The sister wants to get a new laptop. Mac, of course. She wants a MacBook Air because it’s thin and light, but I’m not so sure. Here’s the thing: I like the idea of a MacBook Air. I like that you can do so much with — visually — so little computer, especially now that it has integrated Nvidia graphics which handles The Sims 3 absolutely fine. Compared to the more traditional...

Renault cost me title, says Massa →
I can’t quite remember what the circumstances were when Massa pitted, but regardless of how Piquet may have altered history, shouldn’t most — if not all — of the blame be placed with the team and their insistence on using the stupid traffic light system in the pit lane at the time?
