Intro to webOS 2.0 →
Finally! Although I wonder why they chose to put this out the day before an Apple event. And judging by Just Type, I think Palm/HP is going to stick with physical keyboards.

Now if I can just have Max and Pro/E on OS X as well. Then give me a quad-core, hyper‑threaded MacBook Pro.

Make fun about how the Dell breathes “asthmatically”, then find out that the MacBook Pro has insomnia. I don’t know if this started to happen after I got it back from the Geniuses a month or so ago or if this is a recent development — haven’t had a need to put the laptop to sleep all this time — but I’ve only just recently found out that it’s impossible for my MacBook to...

I’m not the only one who gets an urge to do something productive while in the shower — no, and get your head outta the gutter — but then completely loses that motivation once you’re out of the tub and ends up procrastinating anyway, right?

Watching F1: 2010 Belgian GP
It’s back! It’s back! “A rubbish start-finish straight”. Heh. So Martin’s doing body assessments now? Somebody explain to me what Webber did wrong. I’m puzzled. It’s not chucking yet, but everybody’s going off at the chicane already? So it’s not raining/drizzling anymore? I feel sorry for Barrichello. “Minor front wing damage” for Button? ...

Don’t know if it’s because I’m getting used to it, but since updating my iPhone 3G to 4.0.2, things feel slightly snappier, and less laggy. Maybe Apple’s done something to make it run more efficiently, or maybe apps are just being optimised for iOS 4. It’s still not buttery smooth, and the battery still drains much too quickly during active use — on standby it seems...

No matter what, you will run into dickheads when you play Forza online. People who are not here to race, but just want to crash into you, or to do anything and everything to pass you. Yes, there is an A class Pro playlist, but that’s just one playlist that barely anybody ever plays in. Yes, you can vote people off in the lobby, but that doesn’t undo what they’ve already ruined,...

Apple’s “Breathing Status LED Indicator” Patent →
floodlite: In July 2002, Appled filed a patent for a “Breathing Status LED Indicator” (No. US 6,658,577 B2). They described it as a “blinking effect of the sleep-mode indicator in accordance with the present invention mimics the rhythm of breathing which is psychologically appealing.” The average respiratory rate for adults is 12–20 breathes per minute, which is the rate that the...

Whoops, that’s it: the wiring inside the plug of my hf2s have been wonky on the left channel for a while, and it’s finally gone for the right as well. Now I actually have a good reason for those P5s. Or maybe I should stick with Etymotic and get the hf3?

– @mantia I don’t like BBM for the same reason I’ve dropped IM and try very hard to avoid texting: it’s service- or device-specific, so if I’m not part of that network or don’t have my phone with me, I won’t get the message. IMHO, email — preferably push...

I’m sitting underneath the dome at Fazer right now, and because of the way echoes bounce off the concave ceiling — thank you A‑level physics — I can hear every Finnish word the girl two tables in front of me is saying. I can hear her more clearly than my parents opposite me. Really cool. Update: found out later that she could hear every thing I said as well.
