Following the Liveblog: September 1 Event
The stream has started. And for the sake of being able to say I am following a liveblog, Engadget is in the tab to the right, though I doubt I’ll be paying it any attention unless the video fails.
- See Scott Forstall chitchatting! See the press set up their gear! See Steve Wozniak sitting there at the end of the row, all by himself!
- iMacs are on the stage. How long has it been since we last saw desktops on the stage at an Apple keynote?
Oddly enough, the MacBook’s stream is lagging behind the stream I have over 3G on the iPad.
- Steve hasn’t tucked his shirt in.
- Woah, that Opéra store…
- Yay, iOS 4 on iPhone 3G fix!
- HDR via the Camera app? I wonder if it’ll be better than the faux-HDR mode on my point-and-shoot.
- Ooh… Project Sword is beautiful…on an iPhone 4.
- Epic’s presentation is way better, way more natural, and way less creepy than Zynga’s back at WWDC.
- Wah… I want iOS 4.2 now… My iPad wants it now! I want it now!
- Mmm… AirPlay… I want iOS 4.2 now!
- Steve’s not talking about AirPlay yet. Maybe this ties into later announcements in a big way.
- I actually “aww”d out loud when I saw the shuffle’s packaging.
3G feed on iPad just choked. Switching back to MacBook Pro.
- This “flick to go back up the menu hierarchy” reminds of how you can flick articles away in Reeder.
- I’m tempted to get the (RED) nano, even though I have no need for it.
- The classic is dead. The hard drive‑based iPod is dead.
- No camera flash for the touch it seems.
- What’s with the 8 GB touch? Considering the small price gap between it and the 32 GB, I think they’ll probably sell zero 8s.
- Oh I see, the new nano is a wearable badge to let you broadcast what music you’re playing.
- Woo! iTunes!
- It’s iTunes 10, not iTunes X.
- New icon: eugh…
- iTunes continues to violate the Human Interface Guideline: what’s with the close-minimise-zoom widgets?!
- Welcome to
the socialPing. Finally. - Ping vs. Last.fm should be interesting.
Is the feed flickering for everybody, or just me?
- That icon just looks so, so out of place in the Dock.
- Steve is going to come as a default friend on Ping, like Tom on MySpace. Just kidding.
- I’m guessing AirPlay is coming into play now.
- Cute box.
- I’m not sure I like the way Apple’s remedied the storage problem: I like — I want — to own Top Gear episodes, for example.
- Will we still need to peck at the on‑screen keyboard to search?
Seriously, I’m not the only one getting a flickering feed right?
- Can’t believe I’m watching Iron Man 2 for the first time via an Apple keynote.
- iTunes Extras: can we rent those too?
- Eugh… Glee…
- There we go: more on AirPlay.
- AirPlay sealed the deal for me. I’m finally buying an Apple TV.
- Sweet: Coldplay at an Apple event.
- Wait, it’s just Chris Martin?
- I’m frickin’ watching Chris Martin — one quarter of Coldplay — live over the Internet.
- I’m sorry, did he just say that the record label — EMI? — thought Viva La Vida wasn’t hit material?! Dumb record label.
- Wedding Bells (Live Acoustic): I like it.
Right, let’s all go wreck Apple’s servers.
