Behind the Scenes: Anniversary Campaign

  • 00:38: This looks amazing!
  • 00:41–00:46: So glad they went back to the original camera angles. There was a leaked video some time ago of that Private Jenkins cutscene with new shots and the Dutch angles taken out. They didn’t work.
  • 00:50–53: Pretty…
  • 01:10: Whoa, what happened to the fog? Get rid of those lights on the walls. I liked it better when you couldn’t tell how deep it was.
  • 02:00–02: Seriously, that’s too much. The original Control Room awed you by its sheer size and volume, not pretty lights.
  • 02:05: Too much light.
  • 02:31–33: The Covenant upgrade looks great.
  • 02:40: See? You don’t need lights and holograms all over the place.
  • 02:51–53; 02:56–03:03: I dunno, I think you’ve brightened it a bit too much. Yes, the original Library was a tad dark, but that helped the mood and intensity.
  • 03:27: Bring back those Forerunner glyphs!
  • 04:01; 04:09: So glad they didn’t go with the Reach version of the Mk. V. SPARTAN‑III was a separate project from SPARTAN‑II after all.
  • 04:30: Chief looks great, looks right now.
  • 04:56: PoA looks nice.
  • 06:42: Ooh…
  • 06:44: Seriously, should’ve kept the Control Room walls plain. It’s unnecessary. See the Halo 3 Control Room.
  • 06:54–56; 07:14–16: See? You don’t need holograms on every single surface. Just lightly add texture.
  • 07:20: It’s not the same tower that I was complaining about, but this one had been handled much better. Still a tad too much geometry though. Again, see the towers in Valhalla.
  • 07:24: Again, like The Library, the swamp shouldn’t be so bright. It’s taking away from the atmosphere.
