Consider, for a moment, your web browser. Ask yourself the following questions:

  • Do you really need the bookmarks bar? Can you navigate to the sites you visit daily by memory, search, or with the built in auto complete?
  • Do you really need the back/forward, reload, and home buttons? Can you learn the keyboard commands to navigate without these?
  • Do you need to have a lot of tabs or can you single-task and visit one site at a time?
  • What can you take away until you have only the things you really need?

That’s exactly how my Safari looks, but I got rid of the “+” button as well and shrunk the Google search box. Three–finger gestures and Butler FTW.
