For me, the critical thing about Ferraris is the appearance. It’s a Ferrari, so there’s no way anybody can question the performance.

Yes, this new 458 Italia looks — thankfully — hell of a lot more pleasing than the 360 and 430 before it. For starters the profile doesn’t look funny anymore. The thing I’m worried about though, is it looks very of–the–moment. For now it seems to look good because it’s fresh, but I wonder whether the generations decades down the road, uninfluenced by current trends, will have the same appreciation for the design like we still do now for the E-Type.

On a separate note: silver–Prancing–Horse–on–black should only be done on the back of a Ferrari IMHO. Plus having two badges at the front of the car is a bit redundant.
