I’m not sure exams are suitable for uni. For pure facts-based stuff like maths and science, sure. But if you want me to “discuss” or “critically evaluate”, I’d rather it be a piece of coursework, and be given time to properly organise my thoughts and arguments. Plus, in this day and age when we can just look stuff up so easily, it’s stupid how we have to remember references, quotes and their sources and authors.
