Maybe I got lucky last Friday with just a brief five- to ten-minute wait, but when I went to pick up my MacBook Pro today it seemed as if a good time to visit the Genius Bar at the Regent Street Apple Store is never.

Also: debating with myself whether to vault or travel the Ollie I picked up today on Gowalla. I like the icons I collect to originate from places that are relatively — preferably extremely — distant from where I find them — so far I’ve had stuff from Frankfurt, the Czech Republic, Malta, even Saudi Arabia — but this one’s only made one stop, and it’s at the flagship London Apple Store where I picked it up. However, as far as I know these things are hard to come by — back when it was first released and even more so now — yet I couldn’t help but notice that it was only awarded to the previous owner only four days ago. I wonder what the odds are that I’ll come across another one again, if ever.
