How the hell does it manage to stick on to the track so damn well‽ Compared to a R3 F430 GT2 that I can barely handle on a good day, the amount of grip this thing has makes me wonder if Turn 10 hadn’t accidentally made it four–wheel drive instead of rear–wheel drive.

Originally, C Paul scored “Uphill, Both Ways” for the Halo 3: ODST Soundtrack. If you have the disk (and you should), you’ll find it occupying the third slot inside the “Office of Naval Intelligence” Suite. This version’s unique, though. C Paul and Ivan Ives slathered on some extra thick bass and added some tasty new arrangements to bring the energy up to match the high intensity action in the trailer.

Never heard of the man, but based on this, I’m curious to see what else Ivan Ives might be doing on Halo: Reach’s soundtrack. Assuming he is.

Mom keeps telling me to do all these “pleasantries” whenever I talk to anyone on the phone. Why‽ I just want to get to the point and move on. Heck, most of the time I skip over “hello” as well.

Email and face–to–face conversations are my preferred means of communication. I don’t do IM anymore, and don’t like the phone.

I did not know that, and didn’t think it was this heavy when I picked it up.

And yet mine still leans forward a bit if I have the screen pulled low enough. Or is it because I have it on the carpeted floor so it doesn’t have a hard surface for support?

Don’t know what I’m going to do with it, though those speakers are nice, so I suppose I could use it as a Spotify player. Bass is unsurprisingly lacking, but still better than the MacBook Pro’s speakers that I’m used to. Which isn’t difficult but holy crap, there actually are two channels of sound! I still prefer my hf2 though.

Video’s going to be tricky, because even with ClickToFlash installed and using QuickTime’s player, G4s struggle with YouTube’s standard definition H.264 videos.

The keyboard and mouse are shit. I love the keyboard and multi–touch trackpad on my MacBook Pro, so it’s like “Command + Tab?! Haven’t done this in over a year!” At least I can map Exposé to Mighty Mouse’s nipple.
